What is Student Council?
Student Council is the governing portion of the student body. This gives the students more ownership of their school and provides them with great leadership opportunities.
What does Student Council do?
Student Council is the voice of the student. It is here to address any issues or problems from the student body and in turn, take these problems to the school administration for consideration. This could be everything from school lunch menus to rule changes. Student Council also approves all school fundraisers. Student Council also promotes school spirit and promotes awareness of important issues inside and outside of the school. Student Council members help students feel proud of their school.
Why get involved in Student Council?
Student Council is a great way to gain leadership experience, which will benefit you later in life. It is also a great way to help better your school and make a positive difference in the lives of your fellow students. Additionally, it can help you to learn first-hand how government works.
