Tuesday 5/17 & Wednesday 5/18 students will be released at 2:30pm.
Thursday 5/19 students will be released at 1pm.
There is no after school program the last week of school.

* 4th Grade Teacher: Maxwell Municipal Schools is hiring a 4th grade teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Class sizes in Maxwell are small and our Elementary teaching team works collaboratively to achieve grade level standards and assists each other. Our families of Maxwell students are involved and supportive of our teachers. Your classroom will have up to date technology and students have one-to-one devices. And, Maxwell Schools is on a 4 day week with Fridays off. We look forward to showing you why Maxwell is THE place to work! Applicants must have a valid NMPED Elementary Teacher license. Salary based on new state minimums.


* School Principal for grades Kinder through 12th: Applicants must have current NMPED Administrative Licensure and be able to pass a background check. Experience preferred. Salary based on new state minimums and dependent on experience. Maxwell Schools offers a 4 day week with Fridays off. Housing available if needed.

* Bus Drivers: Schedule can be flexible as we need drivers for activity/athletic trips and substitute routes.
Driver must have: Current Class B license with school bus and passenger endorsements, be registered in DOT clearinghouse database, have current CPR/First Aid, submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as random drug and alcohol screenings, pass pre-employment background check and complete 8 hours of training twice a year.

* School Counselor for Kinder through 12th grade: Applicants must have a valid NMPED School Counselor license and be able to pass a background check. Salary based on new state minimums and dependent on experience.

* Secondary Math Teacher for grades 7-12: Applicants must have a valid NMPED Secondary Math Teacher License and be able to pass a background check. Salary based on new state minimums and dependent on experience. 

* Groundskeeper/Custodial: Duties include maintaining the buildings and grounds of the campus, general maintenance and daily cleaning/sanitation. Work schedule can be flexible. Applicant must be able to pass a background check. Minimum salary of $15/hr.

Anti-racism Anti-Oppression Hotline
The NMPED Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression Hotline – 833-485-1335 – is now available for students, families and community members to report school-based incidents of racism, injustice or discrimination against anyone. Callers will reach a trained department employee from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; if calling after hours, they can leave a message. The hotline was established as a requirement of the Black Education Act, passed in the 2021 General Session of the Legislature.

Students can arrive on campus beginning at 7:40am. Students will meet their teachers in the same area outside as they did at the end of last year. When the bell rings, the teachers will take students to class.

Breakfast will be served in the classroom but students will go to the cafeteria for lunch.

Elementary students are dismissed at 3:55 and middle/high school at 4pm.

All students must leave campus immediately after dismissal unless participating in Athletics. Athletes must leave campus as soon as practice is over. Students cannot remain on the playground after dismissal and siblings cannot wait for athletes in practice. Unless directly participating with the coach, students must leave campus. 

All students must wear masks while indoors but do not need a mask when outdoors. Please send your student with two masks: one to wear and a spare just in case.

*All students that will be participating in athletics must have a current physical on file as well as concussion course completion and consent form prior to participating in practice.

Any athlete planning on participating in sports in the State of New Mexico, must complete the NFHS Concussion Course. A current certificate of completion is required in order to participate in the 2021-22 seasons. This course must be completed annually.
